There is somebody, who wants to communicate with us.
That's better as the situation, where the Forum was out of order.
So we have to reach a situation, where we can talk together.

I'm sorry, but you sound insane.

If MEZ or whoever wants to communicate, then they communicate directly, by posting like everybody else.

Otherwise it is an invasion, or a hostile takeover. In which case we find a way to block them.

For fuck's sake, it's a TAROT HISTORY FORUM, not a political movement or a financial hub.

Honestly, I’m afraid this is just the new reality of AI bots. I don’t have the time or resources to mind the forum to keep out these kinds of attacks. My partner and I are looking at cloudflare at the moment to see if that can help, but honestly, either we open the forum to bots and new users or we freeze it at a specific time and space (like Aeclectic) as a resource, but I am not interested in ongoing support a very a small handful of users to sit and discuss tarot history together, as charming as that might be. You can do the same on a discord server or FB group. I would love to see this forum thrive and help more people fall in love with Tarot History, but turning off bots, guests, and new users really makes no sense to me at all.

... :-) ... this may be, that it sounds insane ... but it's difficult to present a difficult situation, if the communication partners misinterpret it.

We had a problem with too much visitors, right?
We searched for reasons for this unknown situation. I suggested AI ... artificial intelligence, which is suspected to cause such trouble. I think my suspicion is correct.
I suspected, that the agent of the AI organization would read this thread. So we arrived in the following situation ...

8th of April .... no problems
highest value, that I saw in the night 4004, it's now 9th of April, MEZ 4.00 around 3400 .... no problems at this level

9th of April ... no problems
values around 3500 at the day, now at evening around 500 ... MEZ 20.00 now
3850 at MEZ 23.50

10th of April ... no problems
values below 4000 till late afternoon, recently 3948
3889 at MEZ 22.22

11th of April ... no problems, similar values

So somehow peace had arrived and at least a stable situation was reached.

Then Robert and you started a new situation ..... okay. But the problem returned.

It’s not just this forum, all the phpbb forums have been experiencing the same thing.. happening at about the same time. It’s nothing to do with us other than that we have a forum and the bots want into scrape things. I agree, this is AI. Hurrah.

The only positive thing, so far, is that the registrations up to now have not been breached. I’ve turned off the bots, but that has no effect. It’s an attack of AI spam bots and I’m not sure that it’s going to do anything but get worse over time.

Btw.. you keep getting kicked off because we are forcing everyone off as the numbers grow because we are looking at what we can do. Cheers.

The Forum was gone over the night. It's back now at MEZ 12.41 at April 15 with 44 visitors.
