Robert, it's great to see all these improvements! Many thanks to you and Ross for your efforts.

Also, very good to see you on the forum again. When reading old posts here or on Aeclectic, I have often admired your remarkable eye for significant details in card designs. Nice to know that your eagle eyes haven't turned away completely!

Thank you, very much, Nathaniel. I've been enjoying looking through some of your posts, too. :)

I went to the Warburg Institute in London on Friday and had my mind blown by the Tarot exhibition happening. The collection was spectacular, but my head at the moment is completely distracted by the Thoth paintings (there were 9 exhibited) by Lady Frida Harris. She's quoted as saying she wished she could paint with crystals, seeing them in person might lead one to think she achieved her goal... they are spectacular... vibrating crystalline... holographic... wow.

I'm planning on writing a little something about the day and/or starting a thread about something that's bothering me about the deck... but sorting out the main www.tarothistory.com page (rebuilding from scratch), the forum (getting everything as current as possible), and then need to look at my own site. On the positive side, I've two weeks off from teaching so actually have some time to dedicate and now that the weather has reverted back to typical English gloom, it's less tempting to go outside and feels right to type away on the computer with a cup of tea.

Lovely to have you on the forum.

Thank you!

I've updated the style sheets.. there should be four choices on the right side... Default, Sunglasses, Dark and Light... Three fairly sane choices, and one for the.. um.. more bold amongst us.

Do let me know (everyone) if they panel is there on the right side of the main page for you and that you can click and change, and if the designs are alright? If you want bog-standard forum, you can also switch to PROSILVER in your control panel and then all the loveliness with disappear. :)

I had a scare last night. Shut down the computer, restarted, and forum.tarothistory.com came up with a 500 error on all my browsers.

By chance I clicked on the shortcut icon on the Chrome browser, and it came up! I dared not attempt to sign in, in case the same problem arose. This morning, I cleared out all cache on Firefox browser, and it allowed me it.

I feel I'm still carrying some bad cache somewhere, so it feels like I'm on shaky ground.

Wasn't you, poor lad. We were updating the styles and the whole thing went to hell (again) and it took us a couple hours to bring everything back online. I was updating the forum style plug-in and in the middle of the process pretty much the same thing that was happening to you happened all over again!

We are all safe now, everything, including the styles, is completely up to date and working well. Hurrah! :)

Oh thanks, that's good to know. Still got PTSD from the whole experience, though. You know, 35 times bitten, 36th time shy. I haven't tried any other browsers yet. I'm afraid it will react badly, and we'll be zooming for five or six more hours trying to figure it out.

Don't be afraid, it really should work fine. The nightmare is all over now, Ross, you are free to access the site again without constant chaos. Do switch to ProSilver in your user control panel if you hate the theme I'm using, it will be more like what you're used to (ugly.. ;) ).
