Afterwards I noticed that something similar has happened on the Six and Seven of Swords and Batons (IV, IIV). Having never really looked at this deck before, it strikes me how distinctive the eyes are.
Thank you Jean-Claude for making this lovely deck available - as with the Noblet, the images seem so alive.
