La Papesse’s Book.

Postby EnriqueEnriquez on 06 Nov 2008, 15:50

Dear All,

While looking at La Papesse in the Noblet, my wife made an interesting observation: the lines in her flesh-colored book are diagonal, totally different from the way lines are used in the rest of the image, or images. This may be just silly, but I found it was a very beautiful thing. It took me to the idea of parchment, or vellum, as a metaphor of flesh that gets illuminated by The Word.

I just wanted to share that.

Best,

EE
