You're right - I haven't read about it in the French news either. I don't read very deeply in the news, however.Huck wrote:For the current student protests in Vienna we've changed the title page of Trionfi.com

... .-) ... it has its funny moments.
btw. ... as it probably hadn't reached the English News, the student protests started about 10 days ago in the Academy of Art, went then to the central university in Vienna, where the audimax was occupied (which it is till today) and then to other Austrian universities. Many teachers and many German universities have expressed meanwhile their solidarity. The students act very disciplined.
Mainly about the matter called "Bologna process" ... curious accident, if you think about it ... . Austrian students fear it, Germans already have it and are very discontent. But the Austrians have a broad palette of new ideas, they are somehow naiv compared to other young people I know, but they appear rather friendly and unusually patient, so as if they live in a sort of ectasy - probably caused by the last days, which gave them a new identity and unity and made them exhausted. A little bit some show a tendency of Messiasmism, as far I saw it by the webcam ... ... occasionally they are funny. But altogether very idealistic. Somehow a "Woodstock" aspect of Austrian dimensions. You're right - I haven't read about it in the French news either. I don't read very deeply in the news, however.
But what is the protest about?
